Installing WPC wall panels is a weekend-friendly project for DIYers and a fast, repeatable system for contractors. Here is what you need:
- WPC wall panels and matching corner/trim profiles

Step 1: Prepare the Wall
The wall must be clean, dry, and reasonably flat. Remove old wallpaper or flaking paint. For uneven walls, install wooden battens (25-40mm) at 400-600mm centers first. This also creates a cavity for cabling.
Step 2: Plan the Layout
Measure the wall and plan the panel layout. Start from the most visible corner and work outward. Mix full panels in the center and cut panels only at hidden corners or edges. Mark vertical reference lines with a chalk line.

Cut WPC panels with the decorative face up using a fine-tooth blade to avoid chipping. For fluted panels, cut through the grooves to keep the pattern aligned. Always measure twice and cut once.
Step 4: Fix the Panels
Adhesive method
Apply construction adhesive in zig-zag strips on the back of the panel, press firmly against the wall, and hold for 30-60 seconds. Use a spirit level to check plumbness.
Screw method
Pre-drill pilot holes through the panel groove, then drive stainless-steel screws into the battens or wall. The grooves hide the screw heads, keeping the surface clean.
Step 5: Fit Corners & Trim
Use matching inside/outside corner profiles to finish edges cleanly. Apply a thin bead of sealant at the top and bottom for exterior installations. Allow panels to float with a 5mm expansion gap.
Step 6: Clean & Inspect
Wipe down the installed surface with a damp cloth. Check all joints are tight and level. WPC requires no sealing or painting, so the installation is complete.

- Not leaving expansion gaps – panels need room to move with temperature changes.
